Things to do in Mallorca
There are many fun things you can do in Mallorca.
First and foremost, you should enjoy the beaches. They are among the best in Europe, and the weather is usually great.
However, Mallorca is also a popular destination for climbers and hikers. The island has its fair share of mountains and hills, so the terrain is quite interesting.
If you are feeling adventurous, try to experience some of the underground caves. Cuevas del Drach, also known as the Dragon Caves, are amazing to visit.
For city-lovers, spend some time in the city of Palma. It’s a fairly large city where you will find many historical buildings and monuments.
All over Mallorca, there are nice restaurants, bars and clubs. If you are into partying, Ibiza is probably a better choice than Mallorca, but never underestimate the nightlife here, because it can certainly be very fun!
Mallorca – Barcelona
Since Mallorca is only a short distance away from Barcelona, many visitors wish to visit both of these places. For that, you have two options:
- Taking the ferry between Mallorca and Barcelona
- Flying
Plane tickets cost as little as 40 euros if you fly with RyanAir or Vueling. However, note that there might be limitations as to how much baggage you can bring with you.

Ibiza is another Mediterranean isle, not that far from Mallorca. You can take a ferry to get there, and it only takes two hours if you take the fast one (Balearica Cecilia Payne).
Just like Mallorca, Ibiza offers beautiful nature along with a vibrant party scene. There is a lot to do on Ibiza, even though it is smaller than Mallorca. A trip to both islands can certainly be done during the same vacation.
